Each product received from suppliers is inspected and then sorted into the respective storage areas. The new incoming goods area is the hub around which all pallet and small parts material operations revolve, and is designed to avoid excessive operator movements.
Loading into AutoStore™
Material due to go to the AutoStore™ can be managed both directly and indirectly: for strategic suppliers, AutoStore™ material arrives separate from the rest and can be inspected and placed in the bins directly.
Material from all other suppliers, following the receiving inspection, is pre-sorted to separate material due to go to the pallet area from the AutoStore™ material by means of reusable boxes that are then emptied into the bin's compartments.
